Pastiche: [pa-steesh, pah-] an incongruous combination of materials, forms, motifs, etc., taken from different sources; hodgepodge. (Dictionary.com)
Introspective by nature, I have spent most of my life on a conscious journey to understand myself, as well as the world around me. But I have yet to discover my unique gift to give the world.
As an Aquarian, an air sign, I must have movement in my life, or I become stagnant. So, what brings me joy today may not bring joy tomorrow. Joseph Campbell said, “Follow Your Bliss.” But for me, “bliss” is a moving target.
The result of a path such as mine is that you end up with a pastiche of thoughts and experiences, seemingly incongruous at times, and yet unquestionably connected somehow.
So, what is left to give the world, in that case? I am an expert in nothing. All that I have to give back to the world is the product of this winding and varied path, my thoughts and my experiences as I travel through this life – wherever that may lead me. It is up to you to decide if there is value in that.
Welcome to Pastiche.
